"Thank You for Serving"

Content from Thought for Today

Today we honor those who have served in our armed forces. Thank you for the sacrifice, the courage and the honor of our freedom that you gave as a gift to each American. Whether you stood guard, cooked, flew a plane or battled against the enemy, this heart is very appreciative of your service.

So often we reap the benefits from the service of others but rarely do we express our appreciation. This behavior is not honorable or correct. We should acknowledge the service of others and always express appreciation for them. Stop thinking the “tip” is enough. Is the salary a military person is paid all that they deserve? Is a little tip all that is deserved from a person that waits on your table? Since when does money purchase appreciation?

This day make an effort to change any wrong behavior and begin to show appreciation for others. Thank them for the little things that come your way. You will find a world full of people whose smiles will bless you heart.
Tim
